7/16/2010 · Removed the head. Rear valve in #4 dropped . Tiny piece came off and welded to piston. Cleaned piston and looks ok. No damage to cylinder wall. My giy is going to install better valve seats , bigger, for more holding tolerance. Hope it works.

12/7/2016 · This is a typical intake valve seat failure. It doesn’t matter that this is a 4.7 Dodge pickup truck head. It happens to other car models as well. In most cases it is the intake seats.

6/8/2012 · Makes a lot of noise (didn’t run long like that). Code shows miss in #7 cyl. (well, DUH!). Pulled the valve cover and turned it over. No broken springs, but one can be turned circularly by hand.
